Julie Doyle
Julie began her mediation training at Cape Mediation, where she expanded on her training with a course in Elder Mediation. Professionally trained with Divorce Mediation Training Associates of Cambridge, she has also completed training in Transformative Mediation in Portland, Maine and National Guard Family Mediation Training with Massachusetts Office of Dispute Resolution (MODR) in Boston. After many years of a career in the textile arts, Julie sought to apply her people skills in a career in mediation. This has taken her to the Stoughton Middle School as a Peer Mediation Co-ordinator and to a position as the Co-ordinator of the Court Mediation Program at Brockton District Court. In addition she currently mediates in the Cape Cod courts and numerous private cases.
Janet Simons
After obtaining a Bachelor’s degree from Cornell in 1978 and a law degree from Boston University in 1985 Janet practiced law for several years while gradually incorporating mediation into her practice. She trained with Cape Mediation and with Divorce Mediation Training Associates of Cambridge, Permanency Mediation Training and Family Consultation Team Training (FCT) with Massachusetts Families for Kids (MFFK) and National Guard Family Mediation Training with Massachusetts Office of Dispute Resolution (MODR) in Boston. She has been working as a mediator with the Barnstable County Courts, as a Permanency and FCT Mediator with MFFK, and as a private mediator through Better Way Mediation.
